The topic of new news got my thinking. Everything is changing, the good old days are well behind us. Okay so I won't complain about the decline in racism or advancements in medicine, the World just keeps on turning. Get over it, right?
But I like to hold a book and feel its pages, even smell it mustiness and wonder who read it before me (don't judge my whimsical delusions). Even that familiar song blaring from my television when I was a kid, signally that not only was the news about to start but dinner was coming soon. I even like seeing all the corporate workers dressed in their blacks and greys pushing for enough room for their newspapers on the trains.
I man offered me his newspaper the other day on the train, what if he was reading a news blog? "Hey Miss, want my Ipad to read some news?" Like thats going to happen!
I'm not saying that new news is taking away our manners but we have to admit the internet is taking over the world. Everyone is under its spell, with our smart phones and convient laptops and wifi absolutely everywhere, there is no way out.
Don't blame me for being all nostalgic, I love the interent but I'm just fearful of the day we all end up like monkeys minding machines.
